ID Scanner is built so that the personal information on a scanned ID never leaves your device. Barcode scanning, format validation, and the age calculation all happen entirely on your phone, work offline, and require no account. The scan log stores only the verdict, the computed age, and the time of the scan. The name, date of birth, license number, and every other detail read from an ID are never stored and never transmitted.
We use the camera to scan the barcode on the back of an ID. The camera feed is processed on your device. We do not store, transmit, or share camera images.

We may use your device's advertising identifier to measure and improve our marketing. On iOS we ask for your permission first through the system tracking prompt, and you can decline. You can also limit or reset the identifier at any time in your device settings.

All app data lives on your device: you can clear the scan log at any time from within the app, and uninstalling the app removes all app data. We keep no copy of your scans on any server. Subscription and billing records are managed by Apple or Google under their own policies. If you have a data deletion request, send it to id-scanner@gradoid.com. We will process your request within 60 days.
